Peace to you my brothers and sisters.
Today’s Bible Verse: [Isaiah 53:4-5 KJV] 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and
carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and
afflicted. 5 But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for
our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his
stripes we are healed.
This is obviously a description of Jesus on the cross.
All of Isaiah 53 is called the suffering servant.
[Isaiah 53:1 KJV] 1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the
LORD revealed?
Jesus is the right arm of the Father. He now sits on the right of the Father on
the throne.
Before that He suffered and died on the cross; a true and perfect blood
sacrifice as atonement for the sins of the elect. He was buried and resurrected
on the third day to defeat death. Many saw Him to witness to Him after His
resurrection and after His resurrection He took the throne.
Isaiah 53 tells us that the Messiah must suffer through this pain and agony on
the cross.
The modern understanding is that the Book of Isaiah was written around 740 BC;
well before Jesus walked the earth. This was known by the Jews of the time
Jesus walked the earth. It was known but still happened.
The cross needed to happen because it was part of the plan for the redemption
of the elect from the beginning.
We all have a job.
[Matthew 28:18-20 KJV] And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is
given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching
them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with
you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
All of the disciples of Jesus are to spread His word and the gospel.
This is the gospel of Jesus: [1 Corinthians 15:1-6 KJV] Moreover, brethren, I
declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have
received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in
memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I
delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ
died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that
he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen
of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred
brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some
are fallen asleep.
Go forth and spread this good news.
I pray that God has revealed Himself to you and that you have salvation.
I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Peace.
