Acts 3:19-22

Peace to you my brothers and sisters.

Today’s Bible Verse: [Acts 3:19-22 KJV] Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

Repent: μετανοέω metanoéō, met-an-o-eh'-o; from G3326 and G3539; to think differently or afterwards, i.e. reconsider (morally, feel compunction):—repent.

Repentance is turning completely away from the sin. Don’t do the sin anymore.

Converted: ἐπιστρέφω epistréphō, ep-ee-stref'-o; from G1909 and G4762; to revert (literally, figuratively or morally):—come (go) again, convert, (re-)turn (about, again).

In this sense, be converted to a disciple of Jesus; receive and believe in the gospel.

When one repents and is converted then we truly receive Jesus as our kinsman redeemer; our ransom holder, and our sins are covered in His blood. At the time of our refreshing, resurrection, we truly come into His presence and receive eternal life.

Verse twenty tells us that Jesus, who is now ruling in heaven, will return to us. This will happen when His enemies have been made His footstool.

Jesus is the prophet like Moses that was raised up (crucified and resurrected) for us as indicated in verse twenty-two. We are to hear and do His commandments.

So, repent now and know the gospel so that you may receive everlasting life.

This is the gospel: [1 Corinthians 15:1-6 KJV] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

Go forth and spread this good news.

I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Peace.
