Peace to you my brothers and sisters.
Today’s Bible Verse: [Mark 10:47-52 KJV] And when he heard that it was Jesus of
Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, [thou] Son of David, have mercy
on me. And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the
more a great deal, [Thou] Son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood
still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto
him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. And he, casting away his
garment, rose, and came to Jesus. And Jesus answered and said unto him, What
wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I
might receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath
made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in
the way.
This man physically cried out to Jesus and there is nothing wrong with
physically crying out to Him.
Merriam-Webster defines prayer as an address (such as a petition) to God or a
god in word or thought. What this man did was a prayer directly to Jesus. The
man’s prayer request was to be healed and his healing in the sight of many was
for the glory of God. The end result was that his prayer was granted.
I know that we all have many prayers that we put before Jesus. Some are for His
glory and others not so much. All of us, including me, should honestly evaluate
what we ask for.
My prayer for each of us is that we repent of our sin, have faith in the
gospel, and live the rest of our lives in Jesus.
This is the gospel: [1 Corinthians 15:1-6 KJV] Moreover, brethren, I declare
unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and
wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I
preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you
first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins
according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the
third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of
the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of
whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
Go forth and spread this good news.
I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Peace.
