1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Peace to you my brothers and sisters.

Today’s Bible Verse: 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Verse Text: [1 Corinthians 13:4-7 KJV] Charity suffereth long, [and] is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Charity: ἀγάπη agápē, ag-ah'-pay; from G25; love, i.e. affection or benevolence; specially (plural) a love-feast:—(feast of) charity(-ably), dear, love.

The best definition we have is unconditional love. Human love has conditions on it but the love from Jesus is unconditional.

[1 Timothy 2:3-4 KJV] For this [is] good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Jesus wants all men, as in mankind. to be saved. This is the love He has for us.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 gives us the characteristics of Jesus’ unconditional love which includes patience, kindness, morality, and an overall desire for us to walk in His ways.

Jesus does not want to force His love on us and that is why we have been given free will. He desires that we love Him back by keeping His commandments and believing that he conquered death through His death and resurrection. Is this really too much to ask?

Go forth and spread this good news.

I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Peace.
