James 4:11-12

Peace to you my brothers and sisters.

Today’s Bible Verse: James 4:11-12

Verse Text: [James 4:11-12 KJV] Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of [his] brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?

Speaking evil is slandering. Why would anyone want to slander a brother; yet, it happens.

If you are living Torah then your brothers and sisters; those you fellowship with, are as well. You would not be in fellowship with them if they were not. So, if you speak falsely against them; that is, slander them then you are saying that they are not keeping Torah and thus you would be speaking against Torah. By slandering them, you have broken Torah because you have become a false witness much like the false witnesses at the trial of Jesus.

Slander goes further than brothers and sisters. On Facebook, for example, Bill Gates and George Soros are accused of many things but nobody seems to offer up ironclad proof. Until there is ironclad proof, it is all gossip and rumor and that amounts to slander.

The bottom line here is this:

[Matthew 28:18-20 KJV] And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

Jesus is on the throne with Our Father and He is ruling; that is, He is in charge and in control. Our job is not to pay attention to all the nonsense happening in the world but to teach the world His commandments.

Go forth and spread this good news.

I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Peace.
