Shalom brothers and sisters.
Today’s Bible Verse: 1 Peter 1:22-25
Verse Text: [1 Peter 1:22-25 NKJV] 22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, 23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, 24 because "All flesh [is] as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away, 25 But the word of the LORD endures forever." Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.
[Isaiah 40:6-8 NKJV] 6 The voice said, "Cry out!" And he said, "What shall I cry?" "All flesh [is] grass, And all its loveliness [is] like the flower of the field. 7 The grass withers, the flower fades, Because the breath of the LORD blows upon it; Surely the people [are] grass. 8 The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever."
In the last part of these verses Peter was quoting from Isaiah.
Flesh is mankind in the world; however, we that walk in the ways of Jesus; that is, we live by Torah as He does and we have faith in Him and his work on the cross for us, are now purified by His word and born again.
[John 3:3 NKJV] 3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
Being born again is a rebirth through the spirit. We are first born through water; the amniotic fluid of the womb then we receive and have faith in His word and are born of His Spirit. When this truly happens to us the ways of the world fall away and His ways become our natural path.
Go forth and spread this good news.
I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Shalom.
