A Thousand

[Revelation 20:4 NKJV] 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then [I saw] the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received [his] mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

I am keying in on the statement "a thousand years" and asking you what a thousand means.

In looking over many passages using "a thousand" I have concluded that it symbolizes “immensity,” “fullness of quantity” or “multitude.” The number evokes a very long time according to most Bible passages. It is often used in scripture to specify an indefinite quantity.

We call the reign or Revelation 20:4 the Millennial Kingdom but it should really be the Long Time Kingdom.

When will He return?

[Psalm 110:1 NKJV] 1 A Psalm of David. The LORD said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool."

And who makes His enemies His footstool?

[Mark 16:15 NKJV] 15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
