Shalom brothers and sisters.
Today’s Bible Verse: Romans 5:1-5
Title: Faith Triumphs in Trouble
Verse Text: [Romans 5:1-5 NKJV] 1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only [that], but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Hope: elpis – expectation.
Faith: pistis. I know what Strong’s says but in the Hebrew mindset it is hearing and doing His word; commandments.
Justified: dikaioĊ – rendered righteous.
Grace: charis - the unmerited favor of God toward man.
Putting this in first person terms, I have been given righteousness by my hearing and doing of His commandments through Yahshua. To have this righteousness I must hear and do His commandments and I must walk with; that is, believe with every atom of my being in Yahshua. My belief in Yahshua must not simply be head knowledge; I must know without a shadow of doubt that He died to cover my sin with His blood and so that I may have the expectation of not suffering the second death. I must also know that in my fallen state that I have his unmerited favor through my repentance and desire for forgiveness.
I rejoice in the expectation of receiving His perfection; that is, His glory upon my resurrection.
I know that this life will bring tribulation and persecution but that builds my patience, experience, and expectation.
My expectation brings no disappointment because I have His Holy Spirit to lead me through all things.
May you experience this as well.
I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Shalom.
