Today’s Bible Verse: John 3:16-17
Title: Condemnation?
Verse Text: [John 3:16-17 NKJV] 16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
It is reported that football quarterback Aaron Rodgers recently said, “I don't know how you can believe in a God who wants to condemn most of the planet...to a fiery hell. What type of loving, sensitive, omnipresent, omnipotent being wants to condemn most of his beautiful creation to a fiery hell at the end of all this?” If he did say that then he is not the Christian he says he is because he would know John 3:16-17.
Belief here is not just head knowledge, it is faith. In the Hebrew mindset faith is a verb in that you hear and do what Yahshua commands through His words and His words can be found in the Tanakh and Apostolic Witness.
[John 3:18 NKJV] 18 "He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
The world condemns itself. Many say, “I believe in Jesus” but they don’t walk in Torah with faith and love with Yahshua. They believe in the bacon Jesus; the one taught in the pulpits on Sunday; the one that has done away with the Torah so that they may eat their ham sandwiches and go on through their adulterous lives.
[Matthew 7:22-23 NKJV] 22 "Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' 23 "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'
This refers to people who consider themselves Christians but they never truly knew Yahshua and because they did not know Him, He does not know them. They knew and followed the bacon Jesus.
Folks, honestly, I don’t really know how to reach these bacon Jesus followers. I see many of them with good intentions, but they are lost in the message from the false teachers. They think they are so right in their belief, yet they are fools. I pray that the Holy Spirit of Yahshua wakes them up.
