Today’s Bible Verse: Revelation 21:1-2
Title: The Renewal
Verse Text: [Revelation 21:1-2 NKJV] 1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth,
for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no
more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of
heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Every single thing in this universe will be renewed.
So, why is there no sea? If we look closely we see that the sea represents
everything that is out of control in our world and that just will not be so in
the new world; everything will be in control.
[Revelation 13:1 NKJV] 1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast
rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns
ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.
Hear the sea represents the fallen humanity. This truly will not be in the new universe.
So, will there be water?
[Revelation 22:1 NKJV] 1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear
as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
But what else will be there?
[Revelation 21:3 NKJV] 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying,
"Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and He will dwell with them,
and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them [and be] their God.
Tabernacle in Hebrew is mishkan and in Greek is skēnē; it means dwelling place.
In this verse “is” is in brackets, which means it was added by the translators.
If we remove the “is” then I believe that this makes the verse stronger and it
indicates to me that God will be dwelling in His people. This is pure
speculation on my part but, Dear Jesus, let it be so!
[Acts 2:4 NKJV] 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to
speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
We already know that the Holy Spirit of Jesus can dwell in us in the fallen
world so the why cannot God dwell in us in the renewed one?
I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk
Torah-ly. Shalom.
Please share this with others.
