Peace to you my brothers and sisters.
Today’s Bible Verse: [Psalm 119:165 KJV] Great peace have they which love thy
law: and nothing shall offend them.
[Matthew 22:34-40 KJV] But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the
Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. Then one of them, [which
was] a lawyer, asked [him a question], tempting him, and saying, Master, which
[is] the great commandment in the law?
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy
heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and
great commandment. And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy
neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the
prophets.
Everything is built around these; the first being:
[Exodus 20:2-11 KJV] I [am] the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of
the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods
before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of
any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or
that [is] in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to
them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God [am] a jealous God, visiting the
iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth
[generation] of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them
that love me, and keep my commandments. Thou shalt not take the name of the
LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his
name in vain. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour,
and do all thy work: But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God:
[in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy
manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is]
within thy gates: For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea,
and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD
blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
And the second being:
[Exodus 20:12-17 KJV] Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be
long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. Thou shalt not kill.
Thou shalt not commit adultery. Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not bear false
witness against thy neighbour. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou
shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant,
nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that [is] thy neighbour's.
In other words; the first is the first four of the ten and the second is the
last six of the ten.
Spreading His word and the gospel fulfills both.
We all have a job.
[Matthew 28:18-20 KJV] And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is
given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:
and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
All of the disciples of Jesus are to spread His word and the gospel.
This is the gospel of Jesus: [1 Corinthians 15:1-6 KJV] Moreover, brethren, I
declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have
received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in
memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I
delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ
died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that
he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen
of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred
brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some
are fallen asleep.
Go forth and spread this good news.
I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Peace.
