2 Timothy 2:12

Peace to you my brothers and sisters.

Today’s Bible Verse: 2 Timothy 2:12

Verse Text: [2 Timothy 2:12 KJV] If we suffer, we shall also reign with [him]: if we deny [him], he also will deny us:

Suffer: ὑπομένω hypoménō, hoop-om-en'-o; from G5259 and G3306; to stay under (behind), i.e. remain; figuratively, to undergo, i.e. bear (trials), have fortitude, persevere:—abide, endure, (take) patient(-ly), suffer, tarry behind.

Persevere is the better word. In other words, if we win the race through this life and walk with Him in faith then we will reign with Him. But, if we deny Him then we will see the second death.

This says the same thing:

[1 Corinthians 9:24-27 KJV] Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they [do it] to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring [it] into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Other verses confirming our reign with Him:

[Revelation 5:10 KJV] And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

[Revelation 20:4-6 KJV] And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This [is] the first resurrection. Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

[Daniel 7:27 KJV] And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom [is] an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

[1 Corinthians 6:1-3 KJV] Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

[Galatians 3:29 KJV] And if ye [be] Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

[1 Thessalonians 4:17 KJV] Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Go forth and spread this good news.

I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Peace.
