Peace to you my brothers and sisters.
Today’s Bible Verse: Isaiah 26:8-9
Verse Text: [Isaiah 26:8-9 KJV] Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of [our] soul [is] to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee. With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments [are] in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
In the way of: אֹרַח ʼôrach, o'-rakh; from H732; a well-trodden road (literally or figuratively); also a caravan:—manner, path, race, rank, traveller, troop, (by-, high-) way.
Judgements: מִשְׁפָּט mishpâṭ, mish-pawt'; from H8199; properly, a verdict (favorable or unfavorable) pronounced judicially, especially a sentence or formal decree (human or (participant's) divine law, individual or collective), including the act, the place, the suit, the crime, and the penalty; abstractly, justice, including a participant's right or privilege (statutory or customary), or even a style:— adversary, ceremony, charge, × crime, custom, desert, determination, discretion, disposing, due, fashion, form, to be judged, judgment, just(-ice, -ly), (manner of) law(-ful), manner, measure, (due) order, ordinance, right, sentence, usest, × worthy, wrong.
Name: שֵׁם shêm, shame; a primitive word [perhaps rather from H7760 through the idea of definite and conspicuous position; compare H8064]; an appellation, as a mark or memorial of individuality; by implication honor, authority, character:—+ base, (in-) fame(-ous), named(-d), renown, report.
Waited: קָוָה qâvâh, kaw-vaw'; a primitive root; to bind together (perhaps by twisting), i.e. collect; (figuratively) to expect:—gather (together), look, patiently, tarry, wait (for, on, upon).
Isaiah 26:8 – We have come together by your torah desiring to be in your character.
Isaiah 26:9 is much like it. By His Torah we seek Jesus; to walk in His ways; His character. When His Torah is in us all then we will learn righteousness.
[Psalm 110:1 NKJV] A Psalm of David. The LORD said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool."
This shows us that Jesus now sits on the throne with the Father and rules all.
[Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV] And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, [even] to the end of the age." Amen.
This also shows that Jesus sits on the throne with the Father and has authority over everything. It is also a commission for us to spread His word throughout the world so that through His Holy Spirit and His church He can make His enemies His footstool including the last enemy; death.
We bring His Torah to the world and His Holy Spirit and his church makes His enemies His footstool.
We need to live by Torah and know without a doubt that Jesus conquered death for us by being crucified, dying, being buried, and resurrecting on the third day. With this we are born again and become members of His church.
Pray to be born again.
Go forth and spread this good news.
I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Peace.
