Peace to you my brothers and sisters.

Today’s Bible Verse: 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Verse Text: [1 Thessalonians 5:11 KJV] Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

Edify: οἰκοδομέω oikodoméō, oy-kod-om-eh'-o; from the same as G3619; to be a house-builder, i.e. construct or (figuratively) confirm:—(be in) build(-er, -ing, up), edify, embolden.

House-builder is interesting. A house can be a building or it can be a family.

Comfort: παρακαλέω parakaléō, par-ak-al-eh'-o; from G3844 and G2564; to call near, i.e. invite, invoke (by imploration, hortation or consolation):—beseech, call for, (be of good) comfort, desire, (give) exhort(-ation), intreat, pray.

To call near; to call together. We are to call together or invite all of our brothers and sisters in Christ and build a family.
