Proverbs 16:3

Shalom brothers and sisters.

Today’s Bible Verse: Proverbs 16:3

Verse Text: [Proverbs 16:3 NKJV] 3 Commit your works to the LORD, And your thoughts will be established.

Commit in Hebrew is gä·lal'. Literally it means to roll away. In this sense you are to roll away your works to God.

Works in Hebrew is mah·as·eh'. In the sense of the proverb it is righteous works, but it also should apply to gainful employment.

Thoughts in Hebrew is makh·ash·ä·vä'. While thoughts is a good translation, purposes is better. Purposes can be applied back to your works as works have a purpose.

Established in Hebrew is kün. Literally it means to be stood erect or made firm. In other words, God will make them happen.

So, if you let God guide you in your work, whether it be your righteous work for Him or your gainful employment then your work will happen.

[John 14:16-17 NKJV] 16 "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever-- 17 "the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

The helper we receive is His Holy Spirit and we must allow His Holy Spirit to guide us in all our work.

Go forth and spread this good news.

I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Shalom.
