Today’s Bible Verse: Matthew 6:22-23
Verse Text: [Matthew 6:22-23 NKJV] 22 "The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 "But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great [is] that darkness!
Single in Greek is hä-plü's and it means whole. What Matthew is saying is that if your eye is whole, complete, or healthy, then the light of God will fill you.
[John 8:12 NKJV] 12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."
From the beginning Yahshua has been the light of the world. If our eyes can see this then His light will fill us. He has given us His light.
[Matthew 5:14 NKJV] 14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
And now we must spread His light, His gospel to the four corners of the earth.
[Psalm 110:1 NKJV] 1 A Psalm of David. The LORD said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool."
And when the world has been given His gospel then His enemies will be made His footstool and He will return.
Go forth and spread this good news.
