Matthew 4:5-7

Shalom brothers and sisters.

Today’s Bible Verse: Matthew 4:5-7

Verse Text: [Matthew 4:5-7 NKJV] 5 Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, 6 and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: 'He shall give His angels charge over you,' and, 'In [their] hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.' " 7 Jesus said to him, "It is written again, 'You shall not tempt the LORD your God.' "

[Psalm 91:11-12 NKJV] 11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. 12 In [their] hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.

This is the scripture verse that the false accuser was using to justify his temptation. Yahshua returned scripture for scripture.

[Deuteronomy 6:16-17 NKJV] 16 "You shall not tempt the LORD your God as you tempted [Him] in Massah. 17 "You shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, His testimonies, and His statutes which He has commanded you.

Notice also what Yahshua was saying in this rebuttal; He is the LORD. He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He is the God that spoke to Moses from the burning bush. He is the author of the Torah.

Go forth and spread this good news.

I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Shalom.
