Shalom brothers and sisters.
Today’s Bible Verse: 2 Thessalonians 3:5
Verse Text: [2 Thessalonians 3:5 NKJV] 5 Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.
The KJV actually says:
[2 Thessalonians 3:5 KJV] 5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
In Greek patient waiting is hü-po-mo-na'. In many cases it is translated as patience but in this case, it is patient waiting and I believe that is the better translation here.
We are to be waiting for His return patiently but that does not mean that we are to be idle.
[Matthew 28:19-20 NKJV] 19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, [even] to the end of the age." Amen.
Here nations is e'-thnos and that is where we get ethnic or race from. When we consider ethnicity that removes religion and politics from the mix. We are to make disciples from all of the races on earth. We are to teach them His word no matter what their religious, political, or national affiliation is because His word crosses all of those boundaries.
Jew, protestant, catholic, hindu, muslim; it does not matter. Bring His word to them.
[Mark 6:11 NKJV] 11 "And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!"
Teach them but if they do not hear you, move on. You can only show them the door, but His Holy Spirit must lead them through it. Do not be upset or angry if you are not accepted because many times Yahshua Himself was not accepted.
Meanwhile, be a role model living by Torah as Yahshua does and teaching all the nations His word.
Go forth and spread this good news.
I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Shalom.
