Shalom brothers and sisters.
Today’s Bible Verse: 1 John 4:7-11
Verse Text: [1 John 4:7-11 NKJV] 7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son [to be] the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
Here love is ä-gä-pä'-o and it is an unconditional love.
[1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NKJV] 4 Love suffers long [and] is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails. But whether [there are] prophecies, they will fail; whether [there are] tongues, they will cease; whether [there is] knowledge, it will vanish away.
This is the Biblical definition.
The bottom line is that unconditional love is the active choice to love someone no matter what may come your way. God made that decision regarding us. We have done everything we can to reject His love and He still loves us unconditionally. He loves us so much that He sent Yahshua to us to cover our sins.
[1 John 4:11 NKJV] 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
I know that the world makes so many of us angry and that there are many people that many love to hate. Why? That is a question that only each individual can answer. When it comes down to it, what is the impact that the person you want to hate is having on YOUR life?
I know that there are many people that are hard to love. Do it anyway.
Go forth and spread this good news.
I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Shalom.
