Shalom brothers and sisters.
Today’s Bible Verse: Psalms 43:3
Verse Text: [Psalm 43:3 NKJV] 3 Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill And to Your tabernacle.
Hill in Hebrew is har. It is also rendered mountain and I believe that this is a better rendering here.
Tabernacle in Hebrew is mishkan and it can be rendered as tabernacle and also as dwelling place or home. I believe that home or dwelling place, the place where God lives, is the better rendering here.
Truth on Hebrew is 'emeth and it is rendered as truth or faithfulness. I believe that faithfulness is the better rendering.
Holy in Hebrew is qodesh and it is rendered holy or set apart. Holy things are set apart from others so set apart is the better rendering.
Putting it all together, King David is asking God to send His light and faithfulness to him so that King David may be led to God’s set apart mountain; heaven, and to God’s dwelling place; heaven.
What is God’s light and faithfulness? His Holy Spirit.
King David wants God to send His Holy Spirit so that he can be brought into the presence of God and I believe that is something we all want.
Dear Father in heaven, send Your Holy Spirit this day to me and conduct me into your presence. This would be a good prayer for us all each day.
Go forth and spread this good news.
I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Shalom.
