Shalom brothers and sisters.
Today’s Bible Verse: Psalm 5:4
Title: Iniquity
Verse Text: [Psalm 5:4 NKJV] 4 For You [are] not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, Nor shall evil dwell with You.
Wickedness = iniquity. Evil = sinful.
Iniquity is unrepentant sin.
[Exodus 34:6-7 NKJV] 6 And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, 7 "keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing [the guilty], visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children's children to the third and the fourth generation."
When unrepentant sin compounds into iniquity it can affect whole generations up to the third and fourth generation. We see this in the family of Cain in Genesis four. The iniquity of Cain passed down to the generation of Methushael and may have been released in the generation of Lamech but was reinstated when Lamech became iniquitous. The family of Cain never saw release from iniquity because they were all killed off in the flood.
And now for the biggest iniquity in the world.
[Deuteronomy 18:15-19 NKJV] 15 "The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear, 16 "according to all you desired of the LORD your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, 'Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, nor let me see this great fire anymore, lest I die.' 17 "And the LORD said to me: 'What they have spoken is good. 18 'I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. 19 'And it shall be [that] whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require [it] of him.
It should be clear to all that read this and understand it that the prophet like Moses is Yahshua. We are commanded to hear and do as He commands yet there are whole people groups that deny Him and refuse to do His commands. This is why the most important thing for us to do is spread the gospel and ensure that all of our neighbors know that Yahshua is the Prophet like Moses.
Those that fail to heed Deuteronomy 18:15-19 are in unrepentant sin, iniquity and this iniquity is continually being passed down from generation to generation.
I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Shalom.
