Healing

Shalom brothers and sisters.

Today’s Bible Verse: Matthew 15:30-31

Title: Healing

Verse Text: [Matthew 15:30-31 NKJV] 30 Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them [the] lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus' feet, and He healed them. 31 So the multitude marveled when they saw [the] mute speaking, [the] maimed made whole, [the] lame walking, and [the] blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.

Matthew Henry: Whatever our case is, the only way to find ease and relief, is to lay it at Christ's feet, to submit it to him, and refer it to his disposal.

Multitudes alludes to a great crowd of many people. All had heard of the power of Yahshua to heal and they brought along all those that needed healing and He healed them.

What motivated them? This was not the first time Yahshua had healed.

[Matthew 4:24 NKJV] 24 Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.

[Matthew 8:8, 13, 16 NKJV] 8 The centurion answered and said, "Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. ... 13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go your way; and as you have believed, [so] let it be done for you." And his servant was healed that same hour. ... 16 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick,

[Matthew 12:15, 22 NKJV] 15 But when Jesus knew [it], He withdrew from there. And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all. ... 22 Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw.

[Matthew 14:14 NKJV] 14 And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick.

[Matthew 15:28 NKJV] 28 Then Jesus answered and said to her, "O woman, great [is] your faith! Let it be to you as you desire." And her daughter was healed from that very hour.

And these are just the verses in Matthew before the ones in consideration today. Yahshua had a reputation for healing the sick and these people came in faith and laid their sick at His feet.

[John 14:12 NKJV] 12 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater [works] than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

We that believe, and I don’t mean just head knowledge, I mean those that live by Torah and walk with Yahshua, can do these works as well. That power has been given to us but it is not for our personal exultation; we must do it in the name of Yahshua and make it clear that it is His Holy Spirit operating through us.

I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Shalom.
