Sinners Called to Repentance

Shalom brothers and sisters.

Today’s Bible Verse: Mark 2:15-17

Title: Sinners Called to Repentance

Verse Text: [Mark 2:15-17 NKJV] 15 Now it happened, as He was dining in [Levi's] house, that many tax collectors and sinners also sat together with Jesus and His disciples; for there were many, and they followed Him. 16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw Him eating with the tax collectors and sinners, they said to His disciples, "How [is it] that He eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?" 17 When Jesus heard [it], He said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call [the] righteous, but sinners, to repentance."

The pharisees and scribes assumed that when Yahshua refereed to the righteous that He was referring to them. We know that He was not. He was referring to those that live by Torah by love and the pharisees and scribes, then and today, live by Torah by ritual; they put a hedge around it and add to it.

He came to call sinners to repentance and He still does. We need to bring that call to the four corners of the earth.

I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Shalom.
