Shalom brothers and sisters.
Today’s Bible Verse: James 1:2-8
Title: Profiting from Trials
Verse Text: [James 1:2-8 NKJV] 2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have [its] perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 [he is] a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
The NKJV says trials but the KJV says temptations. The Greek word in peirasmos and trial would be better because Yahshua does not tempt but He does try our faith but only to make our faith stronger.
We have seen patience elsewhere as longsuffering and that is an enduring patience. We, now more than ever, need the enduring patience of Yahshua for many trials will be upon us from the world.
Wisdom is the correct application of knowledge. Wisdom from the Holy Spirit of Yahshua is the correct application of knowledge of His word. If you truly live by Torah in love as He does then His Holy Spirit has written His word on your heart.
When we come to Yahshua for wisdom we must hear and do His word; that is, have faith. We are not to doubt His word as so many professing Christians do.
I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Shalom.
