We Are Sent

Shalom brothers and sisters.

Today’s Bible Verse: John 20:21

Title: We Are Sent

Verse Text: [John 20:21 NKJV] 21 So Jesus said to them again, "Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you."

[Matthew 10:16 NKJV] 16 "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

We are His people and we are sent out into the world to witness to Him. In our witnessing we are to be wise and humble.

[John 20:22-23 NKJV] 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on [them], and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 "If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the [sins] of any, they are retained."

Just as Jesus sent the original disciples with His Holy Spirit so He does with all of us, His new disciples. By walking in His way we are given power to forgive but, it is not us forgiving but it is Jesus through us.
