The Peace of God

Shalom brothers and sisters.

Today’s Bible Verse: Colossians 3:15

Title: The Peace of God

Verse Text: [Colossians 3:15 NKJV] 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

When I started to type out the title for today’s verse I almost put “The Piece of God”. But, if we look at these two verses:

[Genesis 2:7 NKJV] 7 And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

[John 20:22 NKJV] 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on [them], and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit.

When God breathes on us we receive His Holy Spirit and many consider this a piece of Him. He breathed His Holy Spirit into man to give man that spark of life that no other creature on earth has. It is this spark that sets us apart from all else and gives us the sentience that no other creature possesses.

If we let that piece rule in our hearts then the peace of God will rule in our hearts.
