God’s Mercy Remembered

Shalom brothers and sisters.

Today’s Bible Verse: Isaiah 63:7-14

Title: God’s Mercy Remembered

Verse Text: [Isaiah 63:7-14 NKJV] 7 I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD [And] the praises of the LORD, According to all that the LORD has bestowed on us, And the great goodness toward the house of Israel, Which He has bestowed on them according to His mercies, According to the multitude of His lovingkindnesses. 8 For He said, "Surely they [are] My people, Children [who] will not lie." So He became their Savior. 9 In all their affliction He was afflicted, And the Angel of His Presence saved them; In His love and in His pity He redeemed them; And He bore them and carried them All the days of old. 10 But they rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit; So He turned Himself against them as an enemy, [And] He fought against them. 11 Then he remembered the days of old, Moses [and] his people, [saying]: "Where [is] He who brought them up out of the sea With the shepherd of His flock? Where [is] He who put His Holy Spirit within them, 12 Who led [them] by the right hand of Moses, With His glorious arm, Dividing the water before them To make for Himself an everlasting name, 13 Who led them through the deep, As a horse in the wilderness, [That] they might not stumble?" 14 As a beast goes down into the valley, [And] the Spirit of the LORD causes him to rest, So You lead Your people, To make Yourself a glorious name.

It is obvious to me that Isaiah is speaking of Jesus; words like savior, afflicted, redeemed should be the clues for you.

[Luke 24:27 NKJV] 27 And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.

Isaiah is a prophet and he spoke of Jesus in the passage above.

Looking at verse ten, yes mankind has turned against Him. A false Jesus, the one that I call the bacon Jesus, is taught in most churches today.

[Matthew 7:21-23 NKJV] 21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 "Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' 23 "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

Yes, these people do cast out demons in the name of Jesus but they have no intimate knowledge of Him; they know the bacon Jesus.

Continuing with verse ten, we see in Revelation His wrath against these wicked people.

In verses eleven through fourteen we see His return and leading His people into rest.

I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Shalom.
