Shalom brothers and sisters.
Today’s Bible Verse: Galatians 6:1-5
Title: Bear and Share the Burdens
Verse Text: [Galatians 6:1-5 NKJV] 1 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who [are] spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. 2 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For each one shall bear his own load.
The apostle opens with brethren; he was speaking to a fellowship.
Tempted in Greek is paraptÅma; it is a lapse from uprightness; a sin. So, if anyone we are in fellowship with sins we are to help them repent so that their sin does not fall on us.
Bearing one another’s burdens comes from here:
[Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 NKJV] 9 Two [are] better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him [who is] alone when he falls, For [he has] no one to help him up. 11 Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm [alone]? 12 Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
This comes back to helping a brother or sister that has sinned repent of their sin.
In verses four and five the apostle is saying that we should also attend to our own work given us by the Holy Spirit of Yahshua.
I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Shalom.
