Faith and Grace

Shalom brothers and sisters.

Today’s Bible Verse: Romans 5:1-5

Title: Faith and Grace

Verse Text: [Romans 5:1-5 NKJV] 1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only [that], but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Grace is the free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings. There was nothing we could do to earn this salvation ourselves. In Hebrew it is favor, approval, support.

Because we have been rendered righteous, justified, by our faith, hearing and doing the commandments of Jesus, we have been given approval, grace. We now have rest in Our Father through Jesus.

Through this we now have an expectation of obtaining the glory of Our Father through Jesus; that is:

[1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 NKJV] 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus, we shall always be with the Lord.

But, by verse three we will also see tribulation; that is, persecution and this will come from our neighbors. But this serves to give us patience and builds our character and strengthens our faith; that is, gives us a greater desire to hear and do the commandments of Jesus.

By verse five we need to allow the Holy Spirit of Jesus into our hearts for the heart of man is the true source of man’s intellect and the center of us all.

I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Shalom.

Please share this with others.
