Title: Make Disciples Among The Nations
Today’s Bible Verse: [Psalm 11:7 ESV] 7 For the LORD is righteous; he loves
righteous deeds; the upright shall behold his face.
There is no way for humans to achieve the righteousness we had before the fall;
however, God has determined before creation that some will achieve this righteousness
and see His face after resurrection.
[Romans 9:15 ESV] 15 For he says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I
have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion."
[Ephesians 1:3-12 ESV] 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the
heavenly places, 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the
world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love 5 he
predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according
to the purpose of his will, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which
he has blessed us in the Beloved. 7 In him we have redemption through his
blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,
8 which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight 9 making known to us the
mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ 10
as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in
heaven and things on earth. 11 In him we have obtained an inheritance, having
been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according
to the counsel of his will, 12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ
might be to the praise of his glory.
There are some among us to which has been given the gift of eternal life to the
glory of God and others that have not, also to His glory. Both groups have a
purpose as to all things in creation and that purpose is the glory of God.
Among the saved there are some that are still working out their salvation; that
is, it is not their work that they are doing toward salvation but it is the
Holy Spirit working in them to give them the revelation of their salvation and
realization of their rebirth.
[Matthew 28:18-20 ESV] 18 And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority
in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples
of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of
the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And
behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
For those of us that have been reborn it is our job to spread His word
throughout the nations and make disciples therein. We do not know who has been
predestined to election and we must preach the gospel and all of scripture for
those whom have not received that revelation from the Holy Spirit yet so that
they may be awaken from the wickedness of this world to everlasting life
through Jesus.
We have been given tools to spread His word and we must not ignore the task
before us.
It is the elect that have salvation and it is my prayer that you are among the
elect and that this serves as your catalyst for awakening.
This is the gospel:
[1 Corinthians 15:1-6 NLT] 1 Let me now remind you, dear brothers and sisters,
of the Good News I preached to you before. You welcomed it then, and you still
stand firm in it. 2 It is this Good News that saves you if you continue to
believe the message I told you--unless, of course, you believed something that
was never true in the first place. 3 I passed on to you what was most important
and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the
Scriptures said. 4 He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third
day, just as the Scriptures said. 5 He was seen by Peter and then by the
Twelve. 6 After that, he was seen by more than 500 of his followers at one
time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died.
[Acts 2:22-24 NLT] 22 "People of Israel, listen! God publicly endorsed
Jesus the Nazarene by doing powerful miracles, wonders, and signs through him,
as you well know. 23 But God knew what would happen, and his prearranged plan
was carried out when Jesus was betrayed. With the help of lawless Gentiles, you
nailed him to a cross and killed him. 24 But God released him from the horrors
of death and raised him back to life, for death could not keep him in its grip.
[1 John 2:2 NLT] 2 He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins--and
not only our sins but the sins of all the world.
This is penal substitution; that is, our sins were transferred to Jesus and His
righteous transferred to us.
We all have a job.
[Matthew 28:18-20 NLT] 18 Jesus came and told his disciples, "I have been
given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples
of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and
the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have
given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the
age."
All of the disciples of Jesus are to spread His word and the gospel.
Go forth and spread this good news.
I pray that God has revealed Himself to you and that you have salvation.
Remember, God is sovereign. That means that he controls everything.
I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Peace.
