Peace to you my brothers and sisters.
Today’s Bible Verse: [John 15:9-11 KJV] 9 As the Father hath loved me, so have
I loved you: continue ye in my love. 10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall
abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in
his love. 11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in
you, and [that] your joy might be full.
When we see commandments many, especially those in the Hebrew Roots community,
think Torah. But is it?
[Matthew 22:37-40 KJV] 37 Jesus said
unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy
soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And
the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On
these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
That is it in a nutshell given by Jesus Himself.
“Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul,
and with all thy mind.”, and the first four of the ten tells us how to do that.
“Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”, and the last six of the ten
commandments tells us how to do that.
When you are saved then keeping His commandments becomes a big part of your
life.
So, who may be saved?
[Ephesians 1:4-6 KJV] 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the
foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in
love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ
to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the
glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
[Romans 8:28-30 KJV] 28 And we know that all things work together for good to
them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose. 29
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the
image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called,
them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
These verses are talking about election. But still, how do we know?
[John 6:44 KJV] 44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me
draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
[John 9:35-37 KJV] 35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had
found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? 36 He
answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? 37 And Jesus
said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.
God seeks us and when He finds us He reveals himself to us.
I do not know how to explain it other than we know.
[Matthew 22:14 KJV] 14 For many are called, but few [are] chosen.
The elect has been chosen since the beginning. Some think they are among the
elect but fall away; they never were. I pray that you are among the elect.
We all have a job.
[Matthew 28:18-20 KJV] And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is
given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:
and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
All of the disciples of Jesus are to spread His word and the gospel.
This is the gospel:
[1 Corinthians 15:1-6 KJV] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel
which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you,
unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that
which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the
scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day
according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the
twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom
the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
[Acts 2:22-24 KJV] 22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a
man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did
by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: 23 Him, being delivered
by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by
wicked hands have crucified and slain: 24 Whom God hath raised up, having
loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden
of it.
Go forth and spread this good news.
I pray that God has revealed Himself to you and that you have salvation.
Remember, God is sovereign. That means that he controls everything.
I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Peace.
