John 12:46-50

Peace to you my brothers and sisters.

Today’s Bible Verse: [John 12:46-50 KJV] 46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. 47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. 49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. 50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

Jesus is our light, but what about the believe part? There are some that accept Him as a prophet and some that accept Him as a leader but do not accept His divinity; they believe He existed but not as the Messiah.

We need to believe the entire gospel message; Jesus, both God and man, was born, suffered, and died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins, was buried, rose again in three days to defeat death, and was seen by many after His resurrection. Full belief in this leads to being reborn.

Who did He come to save? Verse 47 says the world but who is the world? Verse 46 tells us; those that believe; that is, those that believe the entire gospel message; the reborn.

Jesus did not come to save the atheists, the agnostics, the pagans, or anyone that rejects any part of the gospel message.  If you reject His divinity, then He rejects you.

Those that reject Him fall under the law; they have no salvation from God’s wrath and receive full punishment or their sin.

All of creation was done by The Father through Jesus. All of the law was given by The Father through Jesus. Everlasting life is given to the saved by The Father through Jesus.

Yesterday many in the world celebrated what they consider to be the birth of Jesus. The saved and rejected alike joined in the celebrations. For a few hours, many people in the world loved their neighbor as themselves as dictated by the last six commandments. Wouldn’t the world be different if this could happen every day?

We all have a job.

[Matthew 28:18-20 KJV] And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

All of the disciples of Jesus are to spread His word and the gospel.

This is the gospel of Jesus: [1 Corinthians 15:1-6 KJV] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

Go forth and spread this good news.

I pray that God has revealed Himself to you and that you have salvation.

I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Peace.
