Ephesians 3:17-19

Peace to you my brothers and sisters.

Today’s Bible Verse: [Ephesians 3:17-19 KJV] 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what [is] the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

As I have said before, faith is the key. Faith is knowing and doing. We can say that we have faith in a chair but if we do not sit in it then we really have no faith in it at all. Faith in Jesus without the action of love is empty faith. How do we love him?

[John 14:15 KJV] 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

We keep His commandments.

Breadth, length, depth, and height; in other words, full measure. We must know the full measure of what Jesus did for us and that is in the gospel.

And finally, looking at verse 19, the full knowledge is the full knowledge of His Word. Knowledge here is an intimacy far beyond that of a husband and wife.

[Matthew 7:22-23 KJV] 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

These people may have thought they were doing good works in the name of Jesus, but they never knew Him because He never knew them. They never really knew the gospel and, therefore, did not know Jesus.

I find it amazing lately. I will have someone tell me on one of these posts how wrong I am and what they think it means but when I ask them if they can tell me what the gospel is, they go away because they have no idea. That is why I put it in every one of these posts now.

We all have a job.

[Matthew 28:18-20 KJV] And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

All of the disciples of Jesus are to spread His word and the gospel.

This is the gospel of Jesus: [1 Corinthians 15:1-6 KJV] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

Go forth and spread this good news.

I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Peace.
