Peace to you my brothers and sisters.
Today’s Bible Verse: [1 Corinthians 3:16-17 KJV] Know ye not that ye are the
temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile
the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which
[temple] ye are.
[Leviticus 11:3-8 KJV] Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, [and]
cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat. Nevertheless these shall
ye not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof: [as] the
camel, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he [is] unclean
unto you. And the coney, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof;
he [is] unclean unto you. And the hare, because he cheweth the cud, but
divideth not the hoof; he [is] unclean unto you. And the swine, though he
divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he [is]
unclean to you. Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not
touch; they [are] unclean to you.
[Leviticus 11:10-20 KJV] And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and
in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which
[is] in the waters, they [shall be] an abomination unto you: They shall be even
an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have
their carcases in abomination. Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the
waters, that [shall be] an abomination unto you. And these [are they which] ye
shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they [are]
an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray, And the vulture,
and the kite after his kind; Every raven after his kind; And the owl, and the
night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind, And the little owl,
and the cormorant, and the great owl, And the swan, and the pelican, and the
gier eagle, And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the
bat. All fowls that creep, going upon [all] four, [shall be] an abomination
unto you.
Above are the unclean we shall not eat in the dietary codes. Many have said
that Jesus’ action on the cross has done away with this, but I see nothing that
abolishes this. I know that there will be some that will have some “proof texts”
but I can assure you that they are incorrect.
Regardless of what you have been taught, God calls many of these unclean
animals an abomination. He does not use that term lightly.
Many of these animals are scavengers, which means that you are eating what they
have eaten. Some, like shellfish, have the purpose of cleaning up the
environment and, again, you would be eating the trash they ingested. Shrimp,
itself, is the cockroach of the ocean and pigs have no sweat glands and that
means that all of the trash it eats stays in its skin.
The bottom line is that consuming any of this defiles His temple.
We all have a job.
[Matthew 28:18-20 KJV] And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is
given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching
them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with
you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
All of the disciples of Jesus are to spread His word and the gospel.
This is the gospel of Jesus: [1 Corinthians 15:1-6 KJV] Moreover, brethren, I
declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have
received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in
memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I
delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ
died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that
he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen
of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred
brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some
are fallen asleep.
Go forth and spread this good news.
I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Peace.
