Peace to you my brothers and sisters.
Today’s Bible Verse: [1 John 2:4-6 KJV] He that saith, I know him, and keepeth
not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth
his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we
are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even
as he walked.
For those of you do not know, I get the verses from a site called Bible Dice.
It is supposed to be random scriptures each time you open the site; however, we
all know that there is nothing random about God.
I have noticed a theme over the last few times about keeping His commandments
and walking in them.
Keeping and walking in His commandments is a lifestyle. His commandments are
not a burden and when it comes down to it, it is loving God with all your
heart, soul, and mind and loving your neighbor as yourself.
Jesus became our sacrifice so we no longer have to celebrate the feasts with a
sacrifice or do a daily sacrifice. As a matter of fact, God drove that point
home when He used Rome to destroy the temple and shutdown the Levitical
priesthood. I am thoroughly convinced that any sacrifice now would be a
rejection of Jesus.
We should still keep the dietary code to protect the temple of our body, where
the Holy Spirit resides.
We should still wear tzitzits to remind us to keep His commandments.
We all have a job.
[Matthew 28:18-20 KJV] And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is
given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:
and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
All of the disciples of Jesus are to spread His word and the gospel.
This is the gospel: [1 Corinthians 15:1-6 KJV] Moreover, brethren, I declare
unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and
wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I
preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you
first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according
to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day
according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the
twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom
the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
Go forth and spread this good news.
I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Peace.
