Today’s Bible Verse: Matthew 8:21-22
Verse Text: [Matthew 8:21-22 NKJV] 21 Then another of His disciples said to Him, "Lord, let me first go and bury my father." 22 But Jesus said to him, "Follow Me, and let the dead bury their own dead."
The disciple was indicating that his father was dying and he needed to go bury him when he did. Yahshua was speaking of the spiritually dead.
I would say that most of the world is spiritually dead. Some may think that they may be Christians because they go to church or they pray but if you do not know Yahshua, follow His commandments, and follow the lead of his Holy Spirit then you are spiritually dead and you need to be born again.
[John 3:4-5 NKJV] 4 Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?" 5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
Born of water; amniotic fluid; the water we are born from when we leave our mother’s womb. All of mankind was first born of water. We must now be born of the Spirit and we must truly know Yahshua to do that.
