Matthew 11:29-30

Shalom brothers and sisters.

Today’s Bible Verse: Matthew 11:29-30

Verse Text: [Matthew 11:29-30 NKJV] 29 "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 "For My yoke [is] easy and My burden is light."

Everybody sees the word yoke and they jump to the conclusion of slavery or hard bondage but what does a yoke due? It binds two animals together so that they can work as one.

Yokes are fitted to the individual animal so that they do not put undo stress on them and so that the individual animal is comfortable. That is the same for us.

[1 Corinthians 10:13 NKJV] 13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God [is] faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear [it].

Remember, when you enter into His church you are yoked to Him; you work together with Him through this life.

As to burden; this is simply work; what we are called to do. The work is not hard; live by Torah, walk as He walks, spread the gospel. Spark a revival of His word throughout the world.

Go forth and spread this good news.

I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Shalom.
