John 15:17

Shalom brothers and sisters.

Today’s Bible Verse: John 15:17

Verse Text: [John 15:17 NKJV] 17 "These things I command you, that you love one another.

[John 13:34 NKJV] 34 "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

The Greek word for love in both of these verses is ä-gä-pä'-ō. There is much more to this kind of love than many of us can express. It is a love without condition.

This is the kind of love Yahshua wants us to have for not only our brothers and sisters but for our enemies as well.

They whipped Him and they hung Him on a cross and yet He still loved them unconditionally.

During the early part of the twentieth century the Ottoman Empire was persecuting the Christians in Armenia. Among the many atrocities they did was to crucify young Armenian girls like Yahshua was crucified. Put yourself in the place of the families of those girls. Could you unconditionally love those Turks that did this atrocity? That is what we are being called to do by Yahshua.

Go forth and spread this good news.

I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Shalom.
