Shalom brothers and sisters.
Today’s Bible Verse: Colossians 3:16
Title: Let His Word Dwell In You
Verse Text: [Colossians 3:16 NKJV] 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Dwell in Greek is enoikeō and in Hebrew is yashab. It means to dwell or inhabit. In context it means to live in.
Richly in Greek is plousiōs and while it is defined as richly it is also defined as abundantly.
We are to let Yahshua’s word live in us abundantly. When we do this, we live by His word and we use His word with wisdom.
When His word lives in us then we are able to teach and correct one another in spiritual praise through song. It says specifically psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs but psalms were originally sung so all three applies to spiritual song.
Singing is definitely not my strong suit. I sound much better in a crowd. While this verse does speak of song it also speaks of singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. I believe that when His word lives in us our hearts naturally sing praises to Him so let His word live in you and let your heart sing.
Go forth and spread this good news.
I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Shalom.
