The Narrow Gate

Shalom brothers and sisters.

Today’s Bible Verse: Matthew 7:13-14

Title: The Narrow Gate

Verse Text: [Matthew 7:13-14 NKJV] 13 "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide [is] the gate and broad [is] the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 "Because narrow [is] the gate and difficult [is] the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Yahshua is the narrow gate.

[John 14:6 NKJV] 6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

The narrow gate is the only one you can enter through.

[Acts 3:22-23 NKJV] 22 "For Moses truly said to the fathers, 'The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you. 23 'And it shall be [that] every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.'

Peter confirms that Yahshua is the Prophet like Moses. He also confirms that any that denies Him; that is, does not hear Him, will not be saved. We must live by Torah as He did, but we must have Him as well. We must know by our whole being that he died so that our sin may be covered by His blood and that we may have eternal life. We must show our love for Him by walking in His ways, His Torah.

[Matthew 7:14 NKJV] 14 "Because narrow [is] the gate and difficult [is] the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

So many are trapped in Church Christianity that believes that Torah has been abolished; Judaism that denies Yahshua; Islam that denies the deity of Yahshua as the Son of God; or myriads of other religions that break the first and second commandment. Not all ways lead to the Father; only Yahshua does and those exploring these other ways will not receive life.

Folks, if you are one of these people, I am not condemning you. I am asking you to reexamine your faith and pick up a Bible and read it.

Yes, in the front of the book you will find much destruction by the hand of God, but you must know that this is because God does not want us contaminated by evil. Man has demonstrated time and time again after the fall that he has a propensity toward evil.

[Proverbs 26:11 NKJV] 11 As a dog returns to his own vomit, [So] a fool repeats his folly.

Wicked, evil people are fools and fools always return to their evil ways.

[Genesis 6:5 NKJV] 5 Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man [was] great in the earth, and [that] every intent of the thoughts of his heart [was] only evil continually.

Before the flood the world had become fully evil except for Noah and his family. In order to ensure that all of humanity would not succumb to evil God destroyed all but Noah and his family. And even so, we see Ham committing a sin shortly after the flood; that dog had returned to its vomit. And the evil continued with Nimrod.

Don’t let me or anyone else interpret the Bible for you. Let His Holy spirit guide you through it. Pray for guidance.

I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Shalom.
