Seed

Shalom brothers and sisters.

Today’s Bible Verse: Mark 4:4-8

Title: Seed

Verse Text: [Mark 4:4-8 NKJV] 4 "And it happened, as he sowed, [that] some [seed] fell by the wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it. 5 "Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth. 6 "But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away. 7 "And some [seed] fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. 8 "But other [seed] fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred."

Note that seed has been added by the translators; regardless, it is understood that since Yahshua is talking about a sower, a person that scatters seed, then it is seed that the person is sowing.

From the explanation of Yahshua later on we see that the seed is the Word of God and the sower are His disciples; us.

Looking at verses five and six we see the Christian church of today. In most little to no Old Testament is taught so they have no depth of earth, no foundation for what they are taught. Since they do not understand, as the wiles of the world and the anxiety of life in the world overcome them they drift away from even that.

The foundation of the Torah, Prophets, and Writings is needed for a foundation of the Apostolic Witness. The Apostles witnessed the fulfillment of Old Testament in Yahshua and continually cited the Old Testament in this witness.

Make sure you have a foundation by understanding as much as you can of the books to the left of Matthew.

I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Shalom.
