Shalom brothers and sisters.
Today’s Bible Verse: 1 Peter 5:5-11
Title: Submit to God, Resist the Devil
Verse Text: [1 Peter 5:5-11 NKJV] 5 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to [your] elders. Yes, all of [you] be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble." 6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle [you]. 11 To Him [be] the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
In Greek devil is diabolos, it is a false accuser. Whether you believe it is a personification of evil hellbent on the destruction of mankind or your atheistic next-door neighbor, we all have false accusers and adversaries. If you are doing your best to live in Torah then that false accuser is the one that accuses you of being a legalist or causing bondage; we are to resist them by not listening and keeping our faith.
[Matthew 10:14 NKJV] 14 "And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.
Honestly, it is best to walk away from them.
I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Shalom.
