Son of God

Shalom brothers and sisters.

Today’s Bible Verse: Matthew 3:16-17

Title: Son of God

Verse Text: [Matthew 3:16-17 NKJV] 16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17 And suddenly a voice [came] from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

So, did Our Father announce this so only Jesus and maybe John could hear it? Obviously others heard it and told Matthew; perhaps it was Andrew as we know that Andrew was one of the disciples of John the Baptist.

So, what others were there at this baptism?

[Matthew 3:7 NKJV] 7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, "Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

The Pharisees and Sadducees were there. They heard this announcement from Our Father Himself. They knew that Jesus is the Son of God. And this is the reason for this: [John 11:49-51 NKJV] 49 And one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said to them, "You know nothing at all, 50 "nor do you consider that it is expedient for us that one man should die for the people, and not that the whole nation should perish." 51 Now this he did not say on his own [authority]; but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,

I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Shalom.

Please share this with others.
