A Glorious Body

Shalom brothers and sisters.

Today’s Bible Verse: 1 Corinthians 15:41-44

Title: A Glorious Body

Verse Text: [1 Corinthians 15:41-44 NKJV] 41 [There is] one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for [one] star differs from [another] star in glory. 42 So also [is] the resurrection of the dead. [The body] is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. 43 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

In context: [1 Corinthians 15:35-49 NKJV] 35 But someone will say, "How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?" 36 Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies. 37 And what you sow, you do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain--perhaps wheat or some other [grain]. 38 But God gives it a body as He pleases, and to each seed its own body. 39 All flesh [is] not the same flesh, but [there is] one [kind of] flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, [and] another of birds. 40 [There are] also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial [is] one, and the [glory] of the terrestrial [is] another. 41 [There is] one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for [one] star differs from [another] star in glory. 45 And so it is written, "The first man Adam became a living being." The last Adam [became] a life-giving spirit. 46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. 47 The first man [was] of the earth, [made] of dust; the second Man [is] the Lord from heaven. 48 As [was] the [man] of dust, so also [are] those [who are made] of dust; and as [is] the heavenly [Man], so also [are] those [who are] heavenly. 49 And as we have borne the image of the [man] of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly [Man].

Just as this government is not ours and this place is not our home, so it is with our body. The body we have now is not the one we will ultimately have.

The best description of this body we have is here:

[Revelation 1:14-15 NKJV] 14 His head and hair [were] white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; 15 His feet [were] like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters;

Now, let me return to something I said earlier: “Just as this government is not ours”, none of the governments of this world are ours; our government is the Kingdom of Heaven.

For those living in the United States, President Trump is not our leader; Jesus is. We need to set aside all this political nonsense and let the Holy Spirit of Jesus lead us in the things that we do. This hit home for me last night in a discussion about President Trump and former President Obama. When it comes down to it this is just division and has no impact on our spiritual life. Our job is to win souls for the Kingdom and we do this by setting all this nonsense aside, spreading His word, and being an example.

In regard to spreading His Word, I know that there will be those that will argue or will not listen. Let the Holy Spirit of Jesus guide you in this. You can only show them the door and then we must let the Holy Spirit of Jesus take them through it.

I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your day be blessed. Walk Torah-ly. Shalom.

Please share this with others.
