Shalom brothers and sisters. Today is Monday, January 7, 2019.
Today’s Bible Verse: Matthew 23:23-24
Verse Text: [Matthew 23:23-24 KJV] 23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier [matters] of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. 24 [Ye] blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
We have heard judge not lest you be judged and that is from a sin perspective. That is do not sinfully judge or you will be judged by the same measure you use to judge by. But here judgment is part of the weightier matters. This is a righteous judgment; that is, if you see someone in sin you are to bring it to their attention, not with anger or meanness but with love; that is where the mercy and faith comes in.
I hope this has been a blessing to you. May the rest of your
day be blessed. Shalom.
